My name is Bruno and I am a professional drum teacher based in Edinburgh.
High quality drum tuition is achieved by enabling a student to play the songs that they are passionate about, while blending in core techniques and knowledge needed to create competent drummers.
My individually tailored drum lessons, help my students to learn music from a wide range of styles such as rock, pop, funk, metal, jazz and much more. I teach students in-person, as well as online, as suits the student.
I welcome drummers of all abilities, including beginner students, as well as more advanced drummers. Whatever you current ability I know I have the drum lessons to help reach that next level on the drums.

Teaching is a great way to share my passion with other people and help them discover the amazing world of percussions. I have many years’ experience in teaching drums to people of all ages and levels. All the lessons will be tailored to your individual taste, and they will take place in my personal professionally equipped music studio.
I balance the various aspects of learning the instrument (20 min. of exercises on the pad, to improve the hands' technique-20 min. on drums to play rhythms and styles-20 min. playing along with your favourite songs), because at the end of the day, music must be a great deal of fun. You will learn fundamental techniques as well as songs of your favourite bands, from pop to metal and much more.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

I would like to share with you my passion for drumming, not just teaching you how to play, but inviting you into the world of drums and the wider community of drummers.
I’ll show you videos of great drum performances, I’ll recommend you drummers to follow and some records to listen to improve your background. I can help you also to set up and to tune your drum kit and I’ll provide you all the didactic materials (music sheets, backing tracks and much more); we can focus the lessons on your particular interests (i.e. double pedal technique, how to develop a drum solo).

My lessons are currently charged at £30 per hour.
I teach many of my lessons from a rehearsal studio based in Edinburgh, it is a great place to learn to play the drums with fantastic equipment. I can also visit you for lessons if this is better.
I teach students from the ages of 10 years old and upwards. Parents are welcome to sit in (and join in!) my drum lessons should they wish to.
If you wish to cancel a lesson there will be no charge as long as you let me know that 48h in advance. If you cancel a lesson with less than 48h hours warning, you will be expected to pay your normal tuition cost.
Yes, that is absolutely no problem at all as long as you can accept that to be able to play the music that you wish we might have to learn aspects of drumming through other songs as a stepping stone. It would be senseless to sit down at the kit and start learning a drum solo by a drumming great before you have a grasp of a simple drum beat - therefore we can certainly create a journey of lessons that enable you to play the music of one artist that draws on a variety of different sources to get you there.
