Whether it be new local bands or national or international stars stopping off on tour, you have the world of music at your feet and are free to explore any type of music you wish. There is a list of places in which you can find quality live music but Drum Lessons Edinburgh have narrowed it down to what we find are the four best.
The Queen's Hall is a venue formed from the renovation of an old chapel. It can hold up to 900 people and regularly attracts a selection of musicians and artists. Described as' an intimate live music venue' and it's good quality acoustics are commonly referred to in reviews.
It makes our list as it makes a good night out and hosts a variety of genres of music - which is something to think about when looking for live music. Enrich yourself in all cultures and styles of music and see how your instrument is played in different situations. The most important thing to look for though is how much you're going to enjoy yourself visiting these places. The Queens Hall is cosy and well sized and as a result, the atmosphere inside when a band is playing is something to be experienced. Go and check what's on for yourself and see what takes your fancy.

The Caves is a unique and special venue located in the heart of Edinburgh's old town. It makes use of old architecture to create a breathtaking atmosphere and display. The Caves consist of a series of cave-like old stone rooms, where special layouts of lights illuminate the walls and create that perfect night-time atmosphere. The old stone serves as great built-in acoustics making the sound here ricochet all over the place to make everything that little bit louder- which will suit drum students. The staff here are renowned for being very friendly and so this is a place we say you must visit at least once. Check out their website to see which live acts will be playing in the future and get yourself down there.
The Caves, 8-12 NIddry Street South, Edinburgh, EH1 1NS.

Liquid Room Edinburgh is one of the cities biggest nights out. With an 800 people capacity room, the venue has welcomed tens of thousands each year and has hosted some very well known bands including Nero, the Maccabees, Reverend and the Makers, Pixie Lott and Rizzle Kicks. The catering is also ideal with a large selection of cheap drinks and the room is spacious enough to fit the capacity crowd without the entire place turning in to a mosh pit. This is a decent venue which is without a doubt worth a visit. Keep up to date on the live music acts playing here and book yourself in.
